Our Mentoring Programme is about helping to set people up for success before they embark on their chosen careers. The workplace, and nuances and personalities within it can be tricky to navigate, often resulting in people being unhappy, not progressing or even leaving role after role without support or guidance. This is particularly more common place for young people from BAME communities.
Our programme is a collaboration between Ashebel and an amazing group of highly experienced, successful professionals from a breadth of professions, industries and backgrounds. All of these amazing people have agreed to give their time, pro-bono to support the progression of young people from under-represented minority groups and/or from social under-privileged backgrounds and areas of the South East.
The programme is our way of making a contribution to the wonderfully diverse society we live in, and a bid to help support, guide and motivate potential future leaders.
Please note that this programme is for individuals only. If you are an organisation looking to set up a mentoring programme for your business please use the contact page to get in touch.
We aim to mentor 10 participants over a six month period.* Using our mentor matching expertise to broker focused and aligned mentor/mentee relationships, we hope that participants will leave the programme armed with insights and knowledge, as well as increased work opportunities.
Participants are able to apply to the programme through a relaxed, but structured and inclusive process.
All applicants will be invited to participate in an introductory mentoring session hosted by the group of mentors. That way even unsuccessful candidates will obtain some meaningful hints and tips as part of the process.
Successful participants will enjoy the following and more:
